Fashion industry is having a party

Belarus Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2013/2014 will take place on April 23-28

Like in the last season, Belarus Fashion Week will be running on two sites:  the main runway will be at BelExpo  exhibition center at Pobediteley, 14  and the additional program OFF SCHEDULE, designed to show works of  young designers and the presentation of new brands which will be at Museum of the History of Minsk (Mikhail Savitsky Art Museum).



Among names who are going to present their work are the leading Belarusian designers such as BOITSIK, FUR GARDEN, MARINICH, TARAKANOVA, Historia Naturalis, KUCHERENKO, Davidova, Natasha TSU RAN, Svetlana Todorskaya, Harydavets & Efremova, Lena Tsokalenko, which are regulars on a professional catwalk of BFW. Also, Belarus Fashion Week would like to welcome very promising newcomers - designers Maria Dubinina, Valeria & Anastasia Aksionovi and Zina Fedunina. Undoubtedly, participation in Belarus Fashion Week promotes professional career designer by increasing the number of customers, as well as professional assessment of collections and images of professional media, fashion leaders and colleagues.

Sponsors of Belarus Fashion Week are a shoe-making company Belwest, a company producing handbags and leather goods Galanteya, Belarusian companies Milavitsa, Conte, Stetskevich and brand Cuccio Colour (company Star Beauty Service ).  Creative partner of the event is the cosmetic brand ARTDECO.  In addition, some support Belarus Fashion Week has been given by  Bellegprom.

Guest collections of foreign designers will also be presented to audience of BFW. Belarus Fashion Week has a legitimate right to be called an international fashion event. Among the invited designers this season, it is worth noting Aida KaumeNova  of Kazakhstan, Yuliya Polishchuk of Ukraine, N by Z, Lat'el, Diana Pavlovskaya  from Russia, as well as representatives of Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland. A really interesting event for  Belarusian audience will be fashion show by Dmitry Sholokhov for O.Jen, which made furor  on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. To close Fashion Week this season will be  Roksolana Bogutska from Lviv - designer of world renown, who often represents collections on European catwalks.

Also, the event of Belarus Fashion Week will be covered by foreign journalists and editors from around the world like for example, Mario Boselli - Head of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, leaders of Portugal Fashion Week, international design platform Design42day  which, undoubtedly, will highlight positive moments of the fashion week in Belarus and help Belarusian  designers to incorporate into global trends and tendencies.

Besides demonstrations in the main pavilion program Belarus Fashion Week will also include a number of sub-projects, such as competition for young designers New Names of BFW (with the support of Kupalinka and Svitanak), Education Centre Fashion Study Centre, competition and fashion bloggers journalists Fashion Blog Competition (with the support of velcom) and a series of official receptions. In the upcoming season in the Education Center Organizing Committee BFW, together with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, will present the program Festival New York Fashion Film Festival - a series of short films about fashion and style, which will be broadcast on the main pavilion during shows.

Belarus Fashion Week also promotes other cultural projects in the country: in the period of BFW will be three exhibitions devoted to style, culture, photography and art. The National History Museum from April 18 to May 5, will hold  an international exhibition of arts and crafts Colors souls which includes 80 participants from 8 countries. April 24 will hold two exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Michael Savitsky - an exhibition of photographs of Peter Vinnichka Backstage, and the National Museum of History - History of the Belarusian costume.

In the new season Belarus Fashion Week will continue to work with a leading fashion TV channel Fashion One (www.fashionone.com), design portal Design42day and international internet portal FashionUnited, as well as with number of professional publications and online resources such as COSMO.ru, ProFashion (Russia), STUDIO (Ukraine), ESH, lifestyle, velvet.by, pro-fashion.by, interfax.by, prêt-a-portal.by, Diva.by (Belarus), etc. Exclusive media partner of the season will be the magazine Fashion Collection. A novelty of the upcoming release will be cooperation with Russian TV channel STV (Russia), publications Belavia OnAir and Bel.

An important step in working with the media this season will be working closely with the state Belarusian TV: the professional TV crew will do subsequent broadcast of  Belarus Fashion Week on Belarusian TV channels, as well as the documentary film about the project later.

Internet audience also will not be forgotten - the Belarus Fashion Week organizers promise regular broadcast through www.bfw.by  to inform people about the event  in real time.

Official Press Conference opening Belarus Fashion Week FW 2013/2014 will be held on April 23 at 15:00 in the conference hall of the Princess-2 at Crowne Plaza (Volodarsky Street, 13).
